Using Our Launderettes

By using a Speed Queen self-service launderette, you agree to use our facilities responsibly and follow the instructions displayed in-store and on our machines.

Customers are responsible for:

Checking garment care labels before washing or drying.
Checking machines before use and reporting any faults immediately.
Emptying pockets before loading machines.
Selecting the correct machine size for their laundry.
Leaving machines and surrounding areas clean after use.

Suitable Laundry

Our machines are designed for everyday household laundry.

Please do not wash or dry:

Dry-clean-only items.
Items contaminated with hazardous materials or chemicals.
Rubber-backed, tar-covered or flammable items.
Fabrics requiring specialist cleaning.

Where available, pet laundry should onlybe washed in designated Pet Zone machines.

Machine Use

For the best results:

Do not overload machines.
Follow the instructions displayed on the machine.
Ensure the drum is empty before loading your laundry.
Close the door securely before starting a cycle.

Failure to follow these instructions may affect washing or drying performance.

Respecting Our Stores

To help keep our launderettes safe and welcoming for everyone, please:

Dispose of rubbish responsibly.
Keep noise to a minimum.
Respect other customers.
Avoid anti-social behaviour.
Do not smoke or vape inside ourstores.

Unattended Laundry

You're welcome to leave the store whileyour laundry is washing or drying.

Please return promptly when your cycle finishes. Laundry left unattended for more than 10 minutes after a cycle has ended may be removed by another customer if machines are required.

Speed Queen accepts no responsibility for laundry that is lost, stolen or left unattended.

Lost Property

If you believe you've left an item behind, please contact our Customer Support team as soon as possible. We'll make every reasonable effort to help locate lost property, however we cannot guarantee that lost items will be recovered.

Liability

Customers use our facilities at their own risk.

Speed Queen is not responsible for:

Damage resulting from failure to follow garment care instructions.
Pre-existing defects or weaknesses in fabrics.
Colour loss, shrinkage or normal wear during laundering.
Laundry or personal belongings that are lost, stolen or left unattended.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this website.

Payments & Refunds

Eligibility

All Speed Queen launderettes are cashless.

Payments can be made using:

Contactless debit or credit cards.
The Speed Queen app.

Prices may vary by location and are displayed in-store and within the app.

Refunds

If you experience an issue while using our services, please contact our Customer Support team.

Every refund request is reviewed individually. Where appropriate, refunds may be issued as Speed Queen app credit or, on request, returned to the original payment card.

Where a card refund is requested, we may ask for the first six and last four digits of the payment card to help locate the transaction. Card refunds typically take 3–5 business days once processed.

Some refund requests require further investigation. Where this is necessary, please allow us time to investigate before a decision is made. Refunds may be declined where evidence suggests misuse of our equipment.

App balance refunds

App balance refunds can only be processed to bank accounts within the SEPA zone, held in the same name as the Speed Queen account, using an IBAN.If a customer does not hold a SEPA-zone bank account, please contact our Customer Support team to discuss alternative options, which may include app credit or a store voucher.

Where a suitable refund method cannot be arranged, the remaining balance may, with the customer's consent, be donated to a registered charity.

Safety & Safeguarding

CCTV

All Speed Queen launderettes are monitored by CCTV to help provide a safe and secure environment for our customers. CCTV footage may be used for security, safety and the investigation of incidents where required.

Children

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times and should not play on or inside the machines.

Emergency

If there is an emergency, contact the emergency services immediately if required. You can then contact our CustomerSupport team, who will assist where possible.
